Job Description
The Field Engineer reports to the Construction Manager on a project remodeling several housing units at the West County Detention Facility to address accessibility requirements. Provides construction management services in an occupied detention facility project. Assists in providing support for the project, field coordination, and direction for construction management activities, observations and reporting. This position will observe and support construction in the field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Scope of Duties will be performed under the supervision of a Construction Manager leading the project. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Document various project meetings during construction.
- Manage the RFI, Submittal and RFI processes and logs.
- Review as-built set of drawings and specifications.
- Assist with the evaluation of PCOs.
- Assist with reviewing schedules and pay apps.
- Observe / monitor contractor's work in the field; prepare daily reports including progress photos at a 24 / 7 operational facility.
- Assist with facilitating inspections with AHJs.
- Assist with project closeout activities, . punchlist, training, documentation.
Minimum Qualifications :
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$100,000.00.
