Vice President, Regional Build Role

Our client is deepening their presence and relationships in the Mountain West / Pacific Northwest region, and is looking for a dynamic and highly collaborative VP of Regional Build to help drive this growth. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll work alongside the Managing Director to shape strategy, strengthen high-touch client relationships, and ensure seamless execution across the region. This role blends big-picture thinking with hands-on implementation—perfect for someone with experience in financial services or management consulting who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and enjoys variety over rigid, predictable schedules.

This is a full-time , exempt position based onsite in Denver, CO , with regular travel throughout the Mountain West / Pacific Northwest region.

Responsibilities

Regional Strategy Development & Partnership

  • Drive strategic planning for regional growth across the Mountain West / Pacific Northwest
  • Develop comprehensive frameworks for geography visits across the region, including researching and identifying key stakeholders, creating bespoke outreach materials, preparing strategic meeting content, summarizing key takeaways and action items from the meetings, and owning the follow-through with identified colleagues across the firm
  • Create accountability systems that allow the Managing Director to stay center of client relationships while ensuring execution of both client work and regional expansion
  • Prioritize and execute key strategic initiatives by partnering with execution partners across the firm
  • Identify and set in motion opportunities for collaboration with Mountain West / Pacific Northwest clientele and professionals across the broader platform
  • Proactively identify challenges and opportunities, looking around corners to anticipate issues before they arise

Firm Operations

  • Translate the Managing Director’s strategic vision into actionable plans with clear metrics, monitoring KPIs to address risks proactively; utilize this work for regional and firm-level reporting
  • Develop systems and tools to streamline collaboration across geographies while maintaining high-touch client service
  • Develop systems and tools to capture and prioritize consistent outreach with relevant information by leveraging the firm’s resources and simultaneously personalizing to intended audience
  • Drive regional growth by balancing new client launches with building sustainable infrastructure for the efficient growth of the Mountain West / Pacific Northwest region
  • Support the Managing Director with business development, client management, and internal operations to ensure seamless execution
  • Communications

  • Draft bespoke client communications that reflect the firm's high-touch approach to relationship management, drawing on the appropriate firm resources and expertise (pre and post-meeting)
  • Craft presentations and content for meetings with target companies, founders, family offices and high-net-worth individuals that demonstrate an understanding of their unique needs
  • Key role in communicating regional progress / status and being the "connective tissue” across the firm (Merchant Bank, Credit and Real Estate) with high emotional intelligence and commitment to positive culture building
  • Coordinate with professionals across the firm to ensure regional clients benefit from the full suite of capabilities
  • Plan and prepare to maximize the Managing Director's effectiveness on the ground in different geographies with key clients and stakeholders
  • Recommended Minimum Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of experience, ideally in financial services or management consulting
  • 5 years of project and change management expertise with at least 3 years of client relationship management or leadership experience
  • Proven experience at a fast, high growth organization in a strategic or business operations leadership role
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Possesses exceptional analytical capabilities paired with strategic thinking to breakdown complex problems into problem-solving frameworks
  • Appetite and aptitude to consistently up-level productivity by utilizing technology and improving processes
  • Trusted with handling sensitive company information, demonstrating a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in GSuite / Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proven ability to both develop strategy and act as a proxy on behalf of the Managing Director with other leadership team members and clients
  • Someone who brings a listen-first framework and tries to deeply understand objectives, judgement to know when to drive something independently and when to consult the Managing Director
  • Evidence of exhibiting the firm's guiding principles : client-first, confidentiality, integrity, excellence, teamwork, honesty, and passion; personal desire to find solutions that help clients attain their objectives
  • Available to work onsite daily in Denver, CO with regular travel throughout the Mountain West / Pacific Northwest region
  • Compensation Range :  DOE $250,000-350,000 USD total annual compensation (salary bonus)
