We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Design Systems Designer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the enhancement and expansion of our Alpaca Design System, ensuring it remains a high-craft, user-friendly, and highly effective tool for our designers and engineers. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting meticulous, purpose-driven interfaces and has a proven track record in designing and managing comprehensive design systems within complex digital environments. The Experience Design organization champions our customers by creating and delivering efficient consumer-grade experiences through our trust management platform. Our role is vital to the company’s strategic direction, and you will have a significant impact on our product development.
You will report to our Senior Design Manager, Design Systems within the Experience Design Organization.
What you’ll do as a Senior Design Systems Designer at Vanta :
- Enhance and expand the Alpaca Design System to meet the evolving needs of the Vanta platform.
- Create and maintain high-quality design components in Figma.
- Ensure all design components are easy to use and well-documented.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design system additions are well-integrated.
- Maintain a high standard of design quality and consistency across all components.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for design components, including usage guidelines.
- Review and test new components to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Champion inclusive and accessible design practices.
- Communicate effectively with engineers and other stakeholders about design implementation details.
- Lead and mentor other designers in using and contributing to the design system.

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses / credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $167,000 - $196,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions / bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
