JOB SUMMARY
The Network Technician performs entry level computer systems duties. They provide customer support for the Bank’s information technology systems. The Network Technician works under close supervision to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Provides help desk support by answering user inquiries regarding computer software, hardware operation, and the use and interface of systems and software applications.
- Utilizes the help desk ticketing system to log and monitor user issues, facilitating efficient follow-up and resolution.
- Leverage an asset management system to track and maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware assets, ensuring proper allocation, monitoring of usage, and facilitating timely replacements or upgrades.
- Develops procedures and training manuals and conducts presentations and briefings.
- Assists in setting up/moving equipment for employee use and ensuring proper installation of all necessary computing and banking equipment – IMAC: Install, Move, Add, Change.
- Maintains appropriate user access permissions and controls within banking platforms.
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving computer-related problems.
- Assists in the update of personal computer and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required OR a combination of equivalent, relevant work experience and courses in computer science.
- 1 year of prior IT support, help desk or customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations, information systems, computer software and hardware, and of information security policies and procedures.
- Prior skills in the use and support of personal computers, applicable programs and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.
- Must be versatile and have a willingness to assist and perform duties with enthusiasm.
- Ability to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced situations while sticking to and meeting deadlines.
