Job Description Summary
As a Credit and Risk Analyst, the primary responsibilities include identifying and reviewing credit and risk related activity. In this role you will complete investigations, account reviews and report findings to management. This role will focus on ensuring compliance, preventing risk and mitigate losses for the company.
What Youll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
- Verify and assess merchant application information, underwrite and preform KYC to approve and decline applications.
- Monitor transactions daily, identify, and report suspicious and fraudulent activity.
- Communicate effectively (written and verbally) with intercompany teams, merchants, sales agents, and partners to aid in risk mitigation.
- Complete compliance reviews for new and existing clients.
- Prepare detailed reports for management based upon risk assessment.
- Aid in training partners and internal teams on risk management best practices.
- Collaborate with a team or as an individual to identify opportunities of continuous improvement for processes and tools in place for underwriting, risk management and operational functions.
What Were Looking For (Minimum qualifications)
- 2-3 years experience in FinTech, Payment processing or Risk Management.
- Experience in the payments industry and awareness of current trends.
- Transaction Risk Monitoring experience
- Knowledge of and experience working with a mix of electronic payment types.
- Proficiency in reading and analyzing credit reports and financial documents.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong technical skills including Excel, Asana CRM solutions, banking software, ticketing systems.
- Demonstrate integrity, good judgment, and strong decision-making abilities.
