Job Title : Senior Controls Engineer

Location : Syracuse, NY (local and statewide travel)

Salary : Up to $120,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer with 10 years of expertise in PLC programming and electrical design. The role involves developing automation solutions for clients in Food & Beverage, Refined Machinery, and Pulp & Paper. This position is based in Syracuse, with occasional travel to local sites and up to 25% statewide travel.

Key Responsibilities :

  • PLC Programming & Design : Program and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and develop electrical control systems.
  • Customer Collaboration : Work with clients to design tailored solutions and manage project timelines.
  • Commissioning & Troubleshooting : Oversee system commissioning and provide on-site support as needed.
  • Travel : Up to 25% statewide travel for project work.

Requirements :

  • Experience : 10 years in controls engineering with strong PLC programming skills.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in multiple PLC platforms, electrical design, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Industry Experience : Background in Food & Beverage, Refined Machinery, or Pulp & Paper is a plus.
  • Communication : Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.
  • Travel : Willingness to travel up to 25% annually.
