What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Fitness Coach position at Vantage Movement?

We are currently seeking a passionate coach and personal trainer to join our team. You’re an ideal fit if you enjoy helping others realize their potential in the gym, exceeding their perceived limitations, and supporting them through life’s ups and downs. First and foremost, you will coach 2-8 group classes per week, with the potential to add personal training clients, and grow into other roles.

The right person will be passionate about fitness, and helping others meet and exceed their fitness goals; someone who loves sharing other people's successes and loves seeing someone grow and develop. Their personal love of fitness drives them to seek out learning opportunities and ways to better themselves as a coach and educator.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a remarkable experience for all members every time they come into the gym, empowering them to achieve their fitness goals and have fun doing it
- Educate and coach each athlete to improve in their skills, strength, and capacity
- Availability to coach at least one opening or closing shift, for a minimum of 2-8 classes per week, plus 1 rotating Saturday per month, with occasional holidays
- Maintain our member service and coaching quality standards
- Work closely with the Head Coach to continuously develop coaching skills
- Represent Vantage core values
- Attend monthly coaches meeting (typically first Tuesday evening)
- Complete 1-2 Continuing Education Units (CEU) per calendar year
- Communicate class feedback and findings to Head Coach for further business improvement
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year group coaching experience preferred
- Personal training or Group fitness certification required
- Ability to complete Vantage Coaches’ Advanced Theory Course (3-6 weeks)
- CPR certified preferred
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Salary : $22 - $30
