Electronic System Engineer

Job Title: Electronic System Uninstaller

Location: Austin, TX/Atlanta, GA/Aurora, CO/Philadelphia, PA (Part Time)

Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

• Uninstall headrest-mounted Android tablets from various vehicle models based on market-specific goals.
• Safely uninstall tablets and all custom mounting hardware taking care not to damage and save for future use.
• Ensure proper disconnection of wiring and systems without causing damage to the vehicle.
• Restore vehicle interiors to factory standards following tablet removal.
• Perform high-quality workmanship during uninstalls to ensure vehicle integrity to avoid causing electrical issues.
• Manage inventory of tools, materials, spare parts, and tablets required for uninstalls.
• Assist Flexdrive OL’s and OAs with inventory management of tablet and mounting hardware by packaging them up and preparing them for shipment.
• Log all uninstalls in detailed work order forms.
• During downtime prepare Flexdrive rental vehicles for drivers, including cleaning, installing telematics, attaching license plates, conducting fleet vehicle inspections, and managing vehicle compliance documents.

Requirements

• Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 2-3 years of prior experience in telematics installation or similar roles involving 12V electronic systems.

Skills:

• Proficiency in installing and repairing telematics devices, audio systems, and other 12V systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to follow precise directions with attention to detail. Organizational skills to manage tasks and inventory effectively.
• Physical Ability: Lift up to 70 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to installations and repairs.

Knowledge:

• Familiarity with various vehicle models and their electronic systems.

Flexibility:

• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, depending on vehicle availability and project needs.

Communication:

• Clear communication skills to interact with team members and report progress or issues.
