Senior Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst
Overview:
The Senior NOC Analyst is a critical role responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the health and performance of our complex network infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of network protocols, network devices, and network management tools. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to network maintenance, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance metrics, including bandwidth utilization, latency, and packet loss.
- Respond to network alarms and incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware, software, and configuration problems.
- Configure and maintain network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation.
- Participate in network projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in network operations.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with network devices from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
- Proficiency in network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
