Job Description
A successful Area Manager in Training will be trained on how to oversee the operations, productive working environment and overall success for the shops in the Columbia / Jefferson City area.
They will assist the, Training Manager and the Director of Stores in hiring and development of staff in creating the overall vision for each store in this area. They do this by establishing and exceeding benchmarks for the shop managers under their responsibility. Training, coaching, and giving direction for a successful and positive employee culture for each shop.

Good to Know Before You Start!
- Be prepared for early hours and work approximately 50 hours per week.
- Area Manager in Training is the first line of defense for overseeing training and goal setting for the shops in this area. Additionally, setting and fostering exceptional customer service, sales, and driving car count by giving reliable and consistent great service as our standard.
- Must be adaptive to change
- Intermediate computer skills are needed.
- Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars
- You will walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- You may need to work in hot / cold weather conditions
- Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
What does an Area Manager in Training do?
Regularly conduct performance assessments, setting challenging goals to consistently improve personal and store performance of their team.
Reviewing the schedules for the stores in their market, making sure the best use of labor hours as well as adequate coverage is in place. Also reviews payroll for submission and reviews the stores in their market to assure payroll is entered timely and there are no outstanding issues or concerns.
