About the Role:
The Temp Inspector 1 is responsible for performing incoming inspection onsite at the customer’s location, performing data entry, performing minor rework and other duties assigned by the supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Prioritizes which inspections to perform based upon workload and job priorities.
- Inspect product at the customers location. Product will need to be 100% inspected for visual defects, functional defects and documentation issues.
- Assist QC department by performing data entry into SAP as required.
- Effectively communicate to engineer and supervisors when there is a defect found on the product inspected at the customer site.
- Assist in un-crating mechanical assemblies as required.
- Create and compile quality records as defined by the Quality Management System and/or by Customer specific requirements.
- Undertake additional responsibilities or activities as required by the Supervisor
Requirements / Skills:
- This position requires a minimum of 1 year previous Inspection experience, or 1 year manufacturing fabrication experience. However depending on other factors such as education, programming certifications, high score on programming / measuring tools test a candidate with less experience may be considered for hire or transfer.
- General Inspection knowledge, methodology, metrology.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to read, follow, and understand detailed work instructions.
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspection of cosmetic surfaces and functional inspection.
- Ability to perform minor paint touchup, cleaning of parts, and minor mechanical rework using hand tools under the supervision of an engineer.
- Ability to perform data entry into SAP.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and able to manipulate documents using Adobe Acrobat.
- Read, write and communicate in English.
- This position is defined as Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
