Lean Coordinator

Summary / Objective

The VanTran Lean Coordinator is responsible for leading and implementing Lean manufacturing principles across VanTran facilities. The role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency by identifying waste, streamlining processes, and training employees on Lean tools like 5S, Standard Work, and Kaizen with the goal of improving safety and quality, increasing customer satisfaction, and reducing costs.

Essential Functions

• Develop and execute Lean projects and Kaizen culture across the plant, including process mapping, value stream analysis, and identifying areas for improvement using Lean methodologies.
• Deliver Lean training to employees at all levels, including 5S, visual management, flow, error-proofing, and standard work practices, to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives, analyze data to identify trends, and present findings to leadership to demonstrate progress.
• Lead cross-functional teams in Lean projects, Kaizen events, setting clear goals, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Utilize Lean tools like root cause analysis and 8D problem-solving to address operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate change management processes to effectively implement new Lean practices and overcome resistance within the organization.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6AM-2 : 30PM. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed. Employee is expected to work the hours necessary in order to timely and satisfactorily complete all necessary work tasks.

Travel is not required for this position.
