Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of VanTran Transformers.
Essential Functions
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Environment/Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, with rotating schedules. There are four shifts: 4:00am to 12:30pm, 6:00am to 2:30pm, 8am to 4:30pm, and 12pm to 8:30pm. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed. Employee is expected to be flexible and work the hours necessary in order to timely and satisfactorily complete all necessary work tasks.
Travel
Travel is not required for this position.

Essential Functions
- Daily On-Site Attendance.
- Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 4 years of maintenance experience required; strong hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and industrial skills preferred.
- 3 days of PTO at 3 months, 2 additional days at 6 months, 10 days total at 2 years
