What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part time Cashier position at Vara Chevrolet?
We are looking for one individual to join our cashier team. The right candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to handle a flexible schedule. The day-to-day responsibilities will include cash handling, balancing the cash drawer, answering the dealership phone, greeting customers, and assisting the receptionist and Service BDC.

Qualifications

Excellent listening/communication skills, outgoing and positive personality

Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility

Professional appearance, mature, and eager to improve on all aspects; no visible tattoos or piercings
- English; basic Spanish speaking skills (explaining payment and services, giving directions, counting money, and greeting customers)
- Basic computer skills: email and willing to learn our dealership system
- Cashier or bank teller experience a plus but not required
- Retail experience a plus but not required
- Able to stand, stoop, bend, type, file, carry reams of paper, and answer phones
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Cash handling, balance cashier drawer, make receipt, keep all receipts and Repair Orders organized

Answer dealership group phones, greet and assist customers

Direct customers to the correct department, notify the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introduce the customer to the representative

Work cooperatively with all departments

Communicate with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner

Type memos, correspondence, and other documents

Cross-train with receptionist
- Assist Service BDC

Other duties as assigned
