Job Summary:
The Homemaker Home Health Aide (HHHA) Office Coordinator plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing the administrative aspects of our home health care services. This position requires a combination of administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills to ensure the efficient delivery of care to our clients in the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Scheduling and Coordination:Schedule and coordinate home health care visits and services for clients in accordance with their care plans.
Maintain an organized schedule for HHHA staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all clients. Communicate with clients and their families to confirm appointments and address any scheduling issues.
- Staff Support and Supervision:Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of HHHA staff, including coordinating interviews and background checks.
Provide ongoing support to HHHA staff by addressing their questions, concerns, and scheduling preferences. Monitor HHHA staff performance and compliance with care plans, providing feedback as needed.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including care plans, progress notes, and medication logs.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and documentation standards in the home health care industry. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies, as necessary.
- Client and Family Communication:Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and their families, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests for changes to care plans.
Provide information and resources to clients and families to support their understanding of the home health care process.
- Billing and Financial Coordination:Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for home health care services.
Assist clients and their families with financial questions and concerns related to billing and insurance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in home health care coordination or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of home health care regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Compassion, empathy, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed to meet client and staff scheduling requirements.
