Summary
Responsible for Calibration Testing, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of circuits, components, analytical equipment and Electrical instrumentation for laboratory and manufacturing equipment in a Regulated Production Environment, in a timely manner. Schedules delivery and Receipt of Highly controlled (chain of custody protocols) External Calibration Standards.Analyzes and interprets results and assists development of test specifications or electrical schematics. Maintains and archives all logs and required documentation per good manufacturing practices. Provides support to the Maintenance Equipment, repairs, and process Engineering organizations. Prepare technical reports with recommendations to management with solutions to technical problems and continuous improvement.
Job Description
Utilizes time management skills for scheduling Internal calibration of Electrical Equipment using principles of calibration.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required Certifications and Training
- Basic Electrical Theory and calculation of formulas
- Knowledge on proper safety procedures and techniques associated with High and Low Voltage electrical systems (Arc Flashing and Hazard approach)
- Trained in any of the disciplines of Calibration whether it is Physical, dimensional, electrical, flow, pressure and etc. Preferred if some sort of electrical/electronic experience.
- Familiarization with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025
- Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
Experience Level with Business Tools
- Fluke Met/Team and/or Met/Cal experience
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

- Experience in electronics and precision hand tools preferred.

Supervision
- Normally receives little instruction on day to- day work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments
Typical Education and Experience
- CCT from ASQ with 1-2 years of experience
- OJT with 2 - 4 years of related experience in Calibration
- Electronics Associates with no experience in Calibration is accepted depending on electronic experience.

- Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

- Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools Frequently 34-66%
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
- Work environments include electrical current, proximity to moving mechanical parts, repetitive hand motion, working from heights, cold environment, hot environment.
