Varflex Corporation, a 100-year-old family-owned sleeving manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven sales-focused Manager to propel growth, foster customer relationships, and oversee sales operations.
SUMMARY
Oversees the shipping department processes and employees. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing our shipping and distribution strategy. Your main duty will be to ensure secure, accurate, timely and productive shipping processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures
- Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment
- Complying to shipping industry regulations and company policies
- Evaluating carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics.
- Hiring, training, and supervising shipping employees
- Management of specified factory area
- Receiving, storing, and shipping of products
- Confirming quality and accuracy of products
- Preparing various shipments including packing and unpacking orders
- Placing and following up with orders
- Labelling items
- Inventory control
- Verifies, records, and maintains accurate and precise documentation of existing inventory and incoming and outgoing shipments
- Keep shipping area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Perform courier duties for both facilities
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in electronic shipping software such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, M1 and USPS
- Knowledge of shipping industry regulations.
- Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Organized, neat, and thorough in performing tasks with an emphasis on detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office with basic computer proficiency
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to type accurately
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and stoop
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80 pounds

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
