Vari Electric is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Murfreesboro, TN. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and other heavy equipment. Must have a valid driver's license. CDL Class A license is a plus. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Must be willing to help install conduit in ditch, if needed. Pay is based on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform all necessary pre-trip inspections of the machine.
- Load and unload material from the machine.
- Keep track of inventory of machine parts and supplies.
- Maintain the machinery in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds on an extended lift system.
