Our client – an electric and gas utility in Michigan – is looking to fill the role of Principal Rates Analyst. This position will have responsibility for evaluating legislative and regulatory matters that affect the Company’s business practices and regulatory filings, among other responsibilities.

What you’ll do :
Oversee, monitor and evaluate legislation and regulations that affect the Company
Perform complex cost of service analyses, studies and models
Develop executive-level presentations
Monitor public utility commissions for changes in regulatory policies
Partner with other departments
What you will need :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Political Science, Law or Engineering with 7 years’ experience creating executive level PowerPoint and other communications, developing levelized cost, cost benefit and other investment analyses, drafting briefs, managing documentation, etc.
OR - Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Political Science, Law or Engineering with 9 years’ experience
OR - High School Diploma with 11 years’ experience
Knowledge of accounting and finance principles
Ability to summarize legal documents
