SET-UP TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities
The Set-Up Technician will be responsible for set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment, under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair any robotic, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic problem that could arise. This role will require technical expertise ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations. You will be expected to adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including complying with OSHA and related company policies and practices. In this position, you will also follow procedures for storage and disposal of chemical products.
Daily Duties
· Set up fixtures
· Preventative maintenance
· Some machining and operating
· Work with managers, vendors/contactors, Maintenance Technicians, and appropriate staff to discuss and resolve any equipment maintenance problems
· Coordinate and monitor involvement of outside contractors and subcontractors for any equipment or facility repairs and construction
· Maintain service records of robotic equipment and automated production systems
· Purchase supplies
· Operate a variety of hand and power tools; wrenches, ratchets, hammers, chisels, pry-bars, grinders, saws, drills, impact wrench, etc.
· Notify management concerning need for major repairs
· Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions
Requirements
· Must have your own tools
· Experience with robotics
· Experience with mechanical and hydraulic presses
· Experience with conveyors
· Experience with Smart PAC
· Experience with PLC and/or electrical control systems
· Knowledge of various types of welding
· Knowledge of sprayer systems
· Knowledge of Plex ERP system preferred
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
· Ability to use Calipers and measuring tools
· Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems and highly resourceful with skills in problem-solving and critical thinking
· Ability to independently prioritize and complete projects by deadlines
· Ambitious, positive and self-motivated
· Ability to effectively and respectfully interact with employees at all levels
· Must have reliable transportation, good attendance and a good attitude
Physical Requirements
· While performing this job, you will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
Education
· High School diploma or equivalent preferred
