What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler / Shipping Associate position at Variety Staffing?
7am – 3pm Mon-Fri

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Move job material in the plant using pump jack, electric jack, forklift, or Hi-Lo
- QC packaging of jobs according to directions listed on job bag.
- Secure pallets for shipping using shrink wrap or strapping.
- Assist in packing boxes to make ready for shipment.
- Generate shipping documents that include Bills of Lading (BOL's), shipping labels, and packing labels.
- Ensure pallets are labeled and correct shipping documents are attached.
- Load/unload trucks and vans
- Keep the Bindery and Shipping staging areas neat and organized.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Previous Shipping/warehouse experience.
- Previous experience operating Hi-Lo, forklift, and electric pallet jack.
- Knowledge of using a computer for data entry
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
