Job Description 

The Material Planner ensures efficient and effective production planning by managing workload data analysis across plants, work centers, and cell levels. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining a master production schedule aligned with customer demand, MRP requirements, and inventory strategies. 

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Creation of standard work, stand sequence of planning process and overall calendar of events focused on customer satisfaction, shop floor execution and system optimization
• Maintain data integrity of ERP planning parameters
• Lead planning and development of schedules
• Establish demand and planning time fences
• Controls planning data, lead times, order quantities, 
• Ensure, with the cooperation of other departments and Corporate that the division achieves and maintains the highest possible Customer rating for satisfaction
• Create master production schedules to support customer service and inventory turn goals
• Drive, promote and develop positive communication with Operations to improve
• Recognize marketplace requirements and create an environment in which the use of effective scheduling logic simultaneously produces realistic master schedules and customer satisfaction
• Monitor/maintain accuracy and integrity of MPS input information (forecasts, order reconciliation).

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities 

• Good communication skills
• SAP proficiency is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and scheduling software required
• Technical knowledge of electronic components
• Understanding of the different processes and technologies related to contract manufacturing
• Work good under pressure
• Can easily multi-task
• Well organized
