What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Control Specialist l position at Varite?
Qualifications :
B-shift position, this position is 100% onsite. This position works on a shift model like Hall 50 Assembly. This is a 10 hour shift model, 4 days per week.
Hours : 7 : 30pm to 6 : 10am with a 40 minute lunch.
The non-working days rotate with the shift model assigned for each team member. The candidate will have a predetermined shift scheduled based on the B shift team they are assigned.
Material Control Specialist l
Responsibilities :
Efficiently ensures availability of the required quantity of exact parts at the needed time to support Plant Spartanburg production program and TS-M (Material Planning) targets as they align to Plant Spartanburg goals.
Controls supplies and stock by timely planning the correct quantity of parts, while at the same time optimizing the stock on hand.
Performs basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material Planning system.
Supports on-going series production, parts run-in and run-out, and processing of technical changes within this scope is the minimization of obsolescence costs.
Maintains and analyzes monthly Supplier rating and yearly SUMIS (Supplier Management Information System) rating information as applicable.
Qualifications :
B) Experience : 2 years of related professional experience in Material Planning including Material Requirements Planning (MRP) a plus
1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management
1-3 years of experience in Material Control and Production Control Management.
Education :
BS / BA degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or International Business with German concentration or related discipline preferred or 4 years equivalent professional experience in Material Planning including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Basic = German or Spanish (a plus).
