LOCATION DETAILS 2525 Midpoint Dr, Edwardsville, KS 66111
WORK HOURS Monday – Friday, 6am through 2pm
Seasonal Team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.
This is a Seasonal position January through mid-June with potential to convert to a full-time regular position based on attendance, productivity and availability of positions.
Peak Season (January - June) Requirements
- Shift hours Monday through Friday; 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, or 10pm-6am.
- Candidates must be available to work the 2nd or 3rd shift seasonally.
- Mandatory overtime may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

As a member of the Varsity Yearbook Kansas City Yearbook team, the Mezz Operator will Operate equipment at established speed, using established methods to produce binding, meeting customers reasonable expectations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Follows all verbal instructions of Bindery Supervisor and machine operator.
- Works at a fast pace to keep up with the speed of the machine.
- Performs all needed handwork.
- Inspects work after completion
- Operates collator and/or liner and puts away bundles on mezz.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
- 1-3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of company policies as posted as stated in Employee Handbook.
- Awareness of and adherence to Safety programs and rules - departmental and plant wide.
- Must be able to work all hours needed, including overtime and weekends.
- Basic computer skills.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma or GED (required)
- Experience working in a high-volume shipping dock.
- Able to cooperate and work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Maintain perfect attendance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience
- Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record
