What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Inspector position at Varstaff?
Varstaff is currenlty searching for the following:
- Aerospace experience required
- Certified NDT Level 2 NDT radiographic testing (RT) technician to perform
inspection services. Technician provided must have experience performing
radiographic inspection of castings (Inconel or other nickel super alloy’s
preferred).
- -certified NDT Level 2 penetrant testing (PT) technician to perform surface
inspection services. Experience performing PT of castings preferred.
- - Provisions:
- o Technicians are be expected to perform inspection duties using our client
facilities and equipment as directed by our client management or a our client
NDT Level 2 or level 3 inspector.
- o All work is to be performed at the our client Castings Facility located in
Arlington, Washington.
- o Supplier certification as a Level 2 technician per the employer’s written practice
in accordance with NAS410, or SNT-TC-1A is a prerequisite.
- o RT technicians shall undergo and successfully complete Blue Origin Radiation
Safety training, Blue Origin X-ray system functional training and other internal
safety and NDT related process training when required.
- o PT Technicians shall undergo internal safety and NDT related process training
when required.
- o RT & PT technicians must pass our client administered specific and practical
examinations prior to dispositioning production hardware.
- o RT & PT technicians must pass our client administered visual acuity and
color/contrast discriminations tests prior to dispositioning production hardware.
- o Work Schedules: Wednesday thru Sunday, 10 hours per day (excluding official
holidays recognized Blue Origin). Note: Overtime up to 2 hours per day may be
requested based on production needs.
- o Work priority shall be as directed daily by our client management or their
delegated representatives. Work shall be defined in Jules engineering work
orders.

inspection methods per (National Aerospace Standard) NAS-410 Certification &
Qualification of Nondestructive Test Personnel.
