Vartan Aero is an aircraft product support service provider and currently looking to hire a Field Service Project Leader to work at our Renton, WA location, where we provide support to all the big names in the aerospace industry. We are looking for a self-starter to interface with clients, work alongside mechanics, and ensure smooth and effective workflow. Duties include but not limited to:
· Research, prioritize, and ensure execution of open work statement in a timely manner for multiple aircraft for a varied range of aircraft components
· Document rework in accordance with OEM and regulator requirements
· Update job progress in multiple formats and send daily turnover reports in coordination with leadership
· Train, lead, and develop new technicians to ensure team success
· Ensure FOD and tool control, and part/materials control policies are adhered to
· Communicate and correspond both orally and in writing with suppliers and customers in a polite and professional manner
· Be reliable and able to work independently and/or with a team in accordance with drawings and work instructions
· Ensure the availability of documentation according to customer requirements and coordinate with customers for design data, instructions, and other technical information required to complete work
· Carry out mechanical and cosmetic reworks of non-conformities including but not limited to adjustments, part replacements, service bulleting implementation, and calibration
· Troubleshoot electrical systems using wiring diagrams, schematics, pin-outs, and practical methods
· Replace electrical connectors, terminal lugs and wire
· Perform final inspection duties as required
· Assist with part inventory verification, release, and documentation if/as required
· Assist in overseeing the daily manpower planning including headcount adjustments in accordance with company obligations
· Provide regular feedback of team performance to management and assist in probationary period and annual evaluations
· Participate in new hire interviews as required, in coordination with Operations Manager
· Coordination of holiday and weekend planning for employees in cooperation with leadership
· Monitor timekeeping of employees and report information to required functional departments
· Support Quality Department with work rejection statistics, training documentation, and improvement suggestions
· Regular reporting to Management
· Other duties not listed but requested by Management or Customer
Expected Skill Set:
· Proven track record of excellence in one or more areas of aviation production or maintenance with a troubleshooting mindset
· High Proficiency in English language.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and proprietary software systems
· Confident and focused personality with the ability to manage a diverse team in a disciplined and calm manner.
· Team player with excellent organizational and coaching skills.
· In depth knowledge of aviation and quality body regulations and applicable airframe manufacturer processes.
· Detailed technical understanding of customer product specifications.
· Willingness to expand knowledge in a dynamic and fast-moving working environment.
· Implement necessary procedures to conform to customers’ needs and expectations
Physical Requirements include but not limited to:
· Must be able to work in tight areas inluding movements such as twisting, reaching, bending, and lying down while carrying out work in differing environmental conditions
· Must be able to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time. This includes walking rapidly from one job assignment to another
· Must be able to work more than 8-hour shift if needed
· Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and/or climb stairs at any time as required for job assignments
· Must be able to use hand tools as required
