We are hiring a Senior Yard Manager for an automotive compound (storage facility for new vehicles) in Salt Lake City. This is a contract position. Expected duration 3-6 months.
Position Responsibilities: Yard Managers will be responsible for the financial performance of the yards under their control. They will do this primarily by controlling variable cost, tightly managing labor, and ensure productivity stays high. Sr. Yard Managers will also have responsibility for Work Quality Standards, Loss and Damage Prevention., Claims, Document Control, Safety and handle personnel matters. Yard Managers will generate alternatives and make recommendations on improving area work process. Yard Manager will be supervising 1-3 on-site staff.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education 4-year college degree or 6 years’ management experience.
Expert level usage of MS office products including Excel, Access, and Power Point.
Understanding and experience with Total Quality management Skills
This is a salaried position based on experience. This is a contract position. Expected duration 3-6 months.
