Position Summary
This position works collaboratively with end users to determine information needs and provide data analytics and reporting solutions. Uses data to solve organizational problems through reports, analysis and data visualization. This position will develop data solutions to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers.
VASCOR’s data analytics environment is primarily Microsoft. The development tools are currently all Microsoft.
Position Responsibilities
- Complete projects within established timelines and within budget constraints with high quality
- The ability and desire to rapidly learn complex data technologies and software products in a self-starting mode
- 75% - Develop and maintain new and existing analytical and reporting solutions
- 20% - Provide in-house technical support and consultation on the use and features of VASCOR analytical solutions
- 5% - Provide on-call support for production applications
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree business analytics, business intelligence or other business acumen.
Training
Understanding of supply chains, statistics, and relational-ship databases
Technical Skills
- Business Modeling
- Microsoft SQL Server or similar SQL knowledge
- SSMS
- SSIS data integration
- SSRS reporting services
- SSAS multidimensional and tabular data models
- Power Platform
- Visual Studio
- Dev Ops
- Dimensional Modeling (Kimball Methodology)
- Basic programming skills (ex. C#, M, DAX, JSON)
- Experience with visualization of data

Experience
One to three years’ experience in business reporting, analytics, and working with large amounts of data or extensive use of Microsoft’s business intelligence platform, technologies such as Office, SharePoint, OLAP, Power Pivot/Power View, and SQL Server Reporting Services and report design.
