Position Summary
Inventory Analyst is responsible for collecting, storing, and issuing key fob component sets for all vehicles in our yard inventory. The Inventory Analyst will remove designated components from a vehicle. Components will be securely tethered together. Each component set will be labels with the last 8 of the VIN written or printed on a tag for each set. Components will then be stored in the yard’s designated area following the organization process of that yard. Component sets will be issued as necessary, for movement within the yard, or for quality actions within the yard, and for final shipment from the yard. Component sets will be recollected and stored after movement within a yard is completed or when a quality action within a yard is completed. 100% accountability of all designated components is an essential component of this position.
Position Responsibilities
- Collect designated component sets when vehicles arrive in a yard.
- Component sets are to be tethered together, if not already done.
- Component sets are to be tagged and marked with the last 8 of the VIN.
- Component sets will be stored in the yard’s designated storage area. They will be organized per the yard’s storage process.
- Component sets will be issued following the yard’s process.
- If component sets are issued to support a vehicle movement within a yard, or for a quality action within a yard, they will be collected and restored when that activity is completed. Issuance of those components will be recorded. Designated component sets will not be left in cars.
- Ensure accountability for all component sets for vehicles in storage.
- All other duties as required by the yard manager.
