Key responsibilities:
- Produce detailed and flexible pricing models for new business proposals and renewals for existing business
- Support the Business Development team in analyzing RFQ requirements, identifying areas of risk, and planning to meet the bid requirements
- Interface effectively with bid team (Business Development, Operations, and functional support groups) to ensure that required cost data is thorough, accurate, and submitted on schedule
- Coordinate and lead internal proposal reviews with upper management
- Liaison with Accounting and Operations during implementation of awarded new business to analyze operating and financial results and highlight any major deviations from the pricing model
- Serve as a key point of contact for Operations in specific business lines to provide analysis of financial performance and to assist in driving profitability
- Ad hoc financial analysis and projects as needed
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required
- 4 years of experience in a Pricing and/or Financial Planning & Analysis role
- Strong financial modeling experience
- Budgeting, forecasting, and analysis experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities / deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in logistics or automotive industry a plus
