Vascular & Endovascular Associates: Advanced Practice Provider Job Description
Vascular & Endovascular Associates is looking for motivated and compassionate Advanced Practice Providers (APP) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals to provide patient centered care to individuals in the outpatient setting throughout Central and Southeastern Michigan. We are located in Troy, Michigan. The Vascular Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant(PA) will diagnose, manage, educate, and treat patients with various vascular diseases including peripheral artery disease, venous disease, carotid artery disease, and aneurysms. They will perform comprehensive history and physical examinations, write progress notes, order diagnostic testing, interpret testing results, and develop treatment plans for both pre-and post-surgical patients. Must have good communication skills to collaborate closely with supervising physicians, APP colleagues, medical assistants, vascular technologists, and other ancillary staff. Will serve as a patient advocate and coordinate ongoing, overall care to ensure treatment plans are implemented. On-the-job training for various procedures including debridement of wounds, removal of dialysis permcath, and sclerotherapy/laser therapy of varicose veins.
This position is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with the expectation of three to four shifts per week. No call is required. Fluency dictation available. EPIC EMR.
Qualifications
· Education:
o Masters of Nursing Degree required
o Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
· License/Certifications:
o Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License required
o National Certification as an Adult Acute Care or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by respective accredited professional nursing organization such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) required
o BLS certification
o DEA license
· Experience:
o Professional experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
o At least 2 years of experience managing surgical patient population preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $110,410.00 - $116,044.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
