General Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources this position is responsible for the coordination of human resource and payroll data management, day to day support of District substitute processing, and support of best practices for the Business Department.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for personnel record keeping, organizing and filing.
- Assist with employee and substitute time tracking, verification, reporting, and data upload.
- Assist with access for candidates and employees who may need accommodation.
- Collaborate with District Office colleagues to ensure culturally respectful and inclusive practices.
- Protect and maintain confidential employee information.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation.
- Enter and update personnel information.
- Track state and federal personnel reports, support submission requirements.
- Process substitute payroll
- Track and order office supplies.
- Post apportionment, revenues, and grants to federal, state and county systems as requested.
- Process monthly cash transfers and complete daily cash reconciliation.
- Create and submit journal entries under the direction of the Director of Business and Finance.
- Help with scheduling of and preparation for meetings, trainings, and events.
- Greet visitors and answer questions.
- Serve as back-up for Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll processing.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Minimum business-related AA degree or 5 years in a business environment.
- Experience utilizing a range of software including Microsoft Office and Google Drive required.
- Prior experience with cash handling protocols strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Skyward HR/Fiscal preferred.
- Prior experience with data maintenance and front desk support strongly preferred.
- Accurate and rapid high volume data-entry and record-keeping skills.
- Familiarity with the legal requirements of cash handling strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize.
- A calm and cordial manner with staff, in person and on the telephone.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with individuals from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, attend to detail, and work under time-pressure
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish work processes to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to communicate amiably and effectively with community members, coworkers, and supervisors
