EXPERIENCED, ORGANIZED and FOCUSED Web Designer and Developer to support the design department in both design, prepress and post press operations.
PRIMARY DUTY is to build and maintain SEO-friendly WordPress websites using popular page builders like Divi or other theme builders. Manage and update directory websites, ensuring they are optimized for user experience, performance, and SEO.
MUST HAVE 3 – 5 YEARS PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.
MUST BE LOCAL – HOUSTON AREA – NO REMOTE
NO AGENCIES. NO CALLS.
Major Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Create website templates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and jQuery.
- Develop WordPress websites using theme builders such as Divi and others.
- Lead UX/UI design initiatives and implement best practices.
- Manage and maintain directory websites.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Illustrator (a plus).
- Manage hosting, website security, and backups (e.g., HostGator and others).
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and SEO.
- Improve website performance and ensure ongoing website maintenance.
- Conduct website QA and oversee website launches.
- Meet deadlines, spot and troubleshoot issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in WordPress CMS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with PHP and jQuery.
- Experience using WordPress theme builders like Divi and others.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Illustrator (a plus).
- Experience managing directory websites and understanding their structure.
- Experience with both front-end and back-end web development is a major plus.
- Experience in website project management and workflow.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, punctual, dedicated, and a team player with a strong desire to learn and grow within the department/company.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of hosting environments, website security, and backups (e.g., HostGator and others).
