About the Role
As a Core ML Researcher, you will lead the advancement of foundation model research and its practical implementation. Working closely with the technical CEO and founder, you will develop novel architectures, system optimizations, optimization algorithms, and data-centric optimizations. You will also engage with customers, assisting them in training, utilizing, and refining their AI applications with open models. Staying current with cutting-edge research and papers will be crucial for maintaining expertise in the latest AI model inference and GPU programming techniques.
- Full-Time, Monday - Friday.
- On-site at either our San Francisco or Westwood offices.
You Are
- Strong background in Machine Learning
- Deeply comfortable in C , template meta-programming, CUDA, GPGPU, and Linux
- Experience in developing algorithms in areas such as optimization, model architecture, and data-centric optimizations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Excited about the potential of AI
You Will

- Use Vast.ai’s cloud to create the best open ML models
- Improve the full lifecycle of open ML models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy your models
Annual Salary Range
$160,000 - $320,000 equity benefits
