Vast is looking for a NDE Level II Inspector, Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) , reporting to the SVP, Quality and Supply Chain , to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
The NDE organization is an inclusive, interdisciplinary team that is committed to providing high-quality inspections of flight products and solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Perform volumetric phased array ultrasonic inspections manually and using encoders including dual probe configurations
- Interpret, evaluate, communicate and report findings to manufacturing and engineering
- Interpret and review engineering drawings as required
- Support the development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries
- Assist in training and developing others within the team
- Support research and development in total focusing method phased array ultrasonic inspection for operational improvement and optimization
