Vast is looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer , reporting to the Senior Director, Flight Safety & Mission Assurance, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
As a Reliability Engineer at Vast, within the Flight Safety and Mission Assurance organization, you will help pave the way for safe, reliable, and repeatable access to space. You will work in a fast-paced engineering environment, engaging with engineers to identify areas of opportunity for design improvements, and increase the probability of mission success. Your work will influence the design, build, operation, and maintenance of a human rated space station. This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities :
- Perform system-level reliability analyses, such as fault tree analysis, building reliability block diagrams, and perform failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA / FMECA).
- Perform reliability predictions using a variety of methodologies, including electronics reliability predictions
- Assist engineering teams in performing trade studies
- Develop and maintain spaceflight component reliability data
