Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, processing orders, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires a strong commitment to accuracy and safety standards while handling various warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, track and have the ability to, at any point, know inventory status
- Provide status of any box or shipment within 15 minutes of request
- Coordinate and manage the inventory pick up schedules
- Ensure materials are returned to the customer location in the same condition as received
- Support running through reconciliation efforts
- Know how to properly use the WASP Barcode system
- Van maintenance and mileage log – accurately record mileage and maintenance information in log
- Van maintenance – ensure the van is in good working order via normal maintenance and is properly readied for any scheduled client-site visits
- Materials inventory audits – quarterly audits of boxes in warehouse and production areas
- Materials maintenance – Repair or re-box any boxes that become damaged
- Proper box labeling via WASP asset tags – ensure all boxes containing client material has the correct WASP asset tag in the appropriate spot
- WASP updates – Coordinate with the IT Department to obtain any system updates available and ensure all parts of WASP system is in good working condition (Printer)
- Warehouse equipment maintenance – Ensure all warehouse equipment (dollies, carts, pallet jacks, pallets) are in good working condition
- Ensure all security policies procedures are followed within the warehouse and areas where boxes are maintained
- Aid in any equipment movement in production area
- Administrative paperwork – transfer maintenance & mileage log information to appropriate spreadsheet, provide the Operations Manager with results of annual inventory audit and quarterly audits.
Skills
- Proficiency in order picking techniques and familiarity with warehouse operations.
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, with a valid certification preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to effectively use RF scanners for inventory management tasks.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory tracking.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma
- Commercial Drivers License
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to coordinate, schedule and engage with customers.
- Ability to facilitate the completion of transmittal forms, customer acceptance or destruction forms in support of material chain of custody procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use warehouse equipment (dollies, carts, pallet jacks)
- Ability to properly package, palletize, and label material for disposition to the FRC or NARA, in compliance with customer expectations.
- This position will require a flexible schedule at times in order to meet customer needs
