What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Development Engineer position at Vastika Inc?
Skills: Cumulus OS, OSFP, BGP and campus WAN, Mellanox hardware and tools (e.g., Mellanox OFED, SwitchX, Spectrum), InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions, switches, and related networking hardware
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Cumulus OS, OSFP, BGP and campus WAN is a MUST
- 3 years of experience in network engineering or deployment, with a strong emphasis on Mellanox technologies.
- Hands-on experience with InfiniBand and Ethernet solutions, switches, and related networking hardware.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols, network configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Mellanox hardware and tools (e.g., Mellanox OFED, SwitchX, Spectrum).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to Mexico for project-based assignments.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.) to streamline deployment processes.
- Familiarity with other networking hardware and technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Certifications in network engineering (CCNA, CCNP, etc.) are a plus.
