Synopsis
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to support our investment team. As a Research Associate, you will play a critical role in the investment decision-making process by conducting comprehensive research, analyzing financial data, and providing insights on companies, industries, and countries. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and develop a deep understanding of financial analysis in the asset management industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on companies, industries, and countries to support the investment team. This includes analyzing financial statements, earnings transcripts, industry trends, and macroeconomic data.
· Data Management: Gather, organize, and maintain financial data across multiple industries and countries. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in the analysis.
· Modeling and Valuation: Assist in building and maintaining DCF models to evaluate potential investments.
· Market Monitoring: Track and monitor news, events, and developments that may impact the performance of portfolio companies or investment opportunities.
· Meeting and conference participation: Attend sell-side research meetings and conferences. Provide research notes on from meetings to the investment team.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support the overall investment process. Participate in team meetings, discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
Qualifications
· Education: This is a pre-MBA position. A bachelor’s degree is required. A CFA or CPA designation or progress toward one is a plus. The firm will help cover costs for those seeking these designations.
· Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to synthesize large amounts of information and identify key investment drivers.
· Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work products.
· Work Ethic: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
