What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Mechanical position at VAUGHN INDUSTRIES LLC?
We currently have an internal opening for an Mechanical Project Manager. This position will manage successful jobs that will return the required profit to the company and are completed up to Vaughn Industries standards. Travel and overnight stays at site locations will be required. Ten years of experience in the mechanical trade is required.
Duties will include:
- Full responsibility for overall management of assigned projects from award to pre- construction meetings through punch lists, acceptance and payment
- Recommends or takes action to solve any and all problems that will delay the completion date or would result in poor quality or cost over runs
- Safety inspections on assigned projects as required
- Reviews and approves all invoices for accuracy and payment
- Manages all safety of the project of Vaughn employees, subcontractors, and contract labor
- Reviews work in progress monthly and revises cost estimates as needed
- Manage and coordinate day to day activity for construction projects as assigned
- Establishes construction schedule
- Work in project manager modules in computer operating system
- Coordinates with subcontractors
- Attends and participates in pre-construction, site coordination, review meetings and walk through's throughout project completion and visits assigned projects on a regular basis
- Coordinates and attends vendor/subcontractor pre-construction meetings
