Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on guest preferences and restaurant flow.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant services.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively.
- Utilize POS systems to manage reservations and track guest seating.
- Ensure that the entrance area is clean, inviting, and well-stocked with menus.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to enhance guest interactions.
