Essential Functions
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
- Good record of attendance little history of infractions
- Advanced knowledge of blueprints and sketch interpretations to ensure proper fit and finish to parts
- Skilled at identifying and measuring appropriate surface finishes
- Use appropriate tools to deburr and sketch parts
- Ability to set basic off-sets and efficient at probes for off-set
- Operate manual lathe, Mill, and BLT machines
- Construct touch off points and set tool lengths
- Advanced knowledge of machining terminology
- Advanced knowledge and practice in the use of precision measurement tools
- Identify and adhere to all HSE policies and practices without prompting
- Experience and practice in submitting Concern Cards for Safety concerns
- Basic knowledge of and practice of 5S
- Knowledge of Lean Methods and practice
- Adept verbal and written communication skills
- History of compliance to company policies and procedures
- Diagnose and trouble shoot equipment and process related problems
- Ability to rework damaged parts work under general supervision
Experience / Knowledge
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience in manual machining or Machining Certificate from accredited Votech
- Machining Certificate from accredited Votech preferred
- Programming knowledge preferred
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particles
- Exposure to heat, cold, wet and snow conditions
- Moderate noise levels
