Job Summary
This Post is for an Unarmed Security Patrol Officer The Patrol Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security within assigned areas by monitoring activities, enforcing laws, and providing assistance to the public. Applicants must have a valid Arizona Security Guard Card. This role does utilize a patrol car and a good AZMVD track record is required for insurance purposes. Must be 21 years old and pass a drug screening to drive the patrol car for this role. This role requires a proactive approach to conflict management and loss prevention while ensuring compliance with legal regulations. The Patrol Officer will work closely with law enforcement agencies, our clients and community members to foster a safe environment.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas for our clients to deter and detect criminal activity.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to identify suspicious behavior and respond accordingly.
- Engage in conflict management by de-escalating tense situations and resolving disputes effectively.
- Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to share information and support investigations.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to protect property and assets from theft or damage.
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on best practices in security and law enforcement.
Skills
- Strong conflict management abilities to handle various situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficiency in surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems for monitoring activities.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable for emergency response readiness.
- Knowledge of security enforcement principles and practices, with a preference for candidates holding relevant certifications.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with the public, colleagues, and law enforcement officials.
- A militarized background is considered an asset but not mandatory for applicants.
