Position Purpose :
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for building the business processes of the Project Management Organization (PMO) while overseeing the internal and customer driven projects of Vaupell. The Senior Project Management role and PMO are newly established within Vaupell’s Product Innovation Group (Product Development, Research and Technology, and the PMO) to develop and implement new innovative products into the Aerospace and Defense industry. Vaupell is looking for a person that is motivated to help build the PMO foundation around industry best practices that can be scaled with the strategic growth planned for the near and long term future of Vaupell.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and launch the NPI business process according to industry best practices.
- Develop and manage project plans, resource requirements, risk management and budget for internal and customer driven projects.
- Host / Lead cross-functional project team meetings.
- Report project performance with adjustments as needed to the leadership team and steering committee.
- Manage and report project variances including budget, scope and schedule.
- Coordinate with internal and external (customers and suppliers) to ensure project success.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for continuous improvement.
