About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Fermentation Process Technician to join our team at Vaxxinova US.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing protocols for our vaccines through fermentation processes.
You will work closely with our scientific and quality assurance teams to ensure the quality and consistency of our products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient manufacturing protocols for fermentation processes.
- Prepare and sterilize culture media, buffers, and other solutions required for fermentation processes.
- Monitor fermentation processes, including temperature, pH, and nutrient levels, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Collect and analyze samples at various stages of fermentation, conducting tests to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Document all processes and results accurately in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during fermentation.
- Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements and efficiencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and health regulations.
Requirements:
- Able to work on equipment while standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting; able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- High school diploma required, two or four-year degree in any technical field preferred.
- One to two years' experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in fermentation technology, particularly in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, is a plus.
- Knowledge of animal vaccine development processes is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory and manufacturing safety protocols.
