Job Description:
- Position: Correctional Nurse
- Shift time: 10:45 PM- AM-7:15 AM or 2:45 pm-11:15 pm
- Location: Coxsackie, NY
- Contract duration: 13 weeks.
- Guarantee: 40 Hours
- Pay: $53/hr. on w2.
Requirements:
- Conduct health assessments for inmates, including vital signs and screenings.
- Current state of RN License
- Delivers medical care: Manages chronic conditions, treats emergencies, & admins meds.
- Mental health support: Assesses & treats mental health, including substance abuse.
- Safety & security: Maintains safe environment, responds to emergencies, & upholds protocols.
- Limited diagnostics: Assesses & diagnoses within facility limitations, refers if needed.
- Collaboration: Works with officers, MH professionals, & legal teams.
- Documentation: Records patient care thoroughly & accurately.
- Education: May conduct health education programs for inmates.
- Advocacy: Champions improved healthcare access & policies.
- Unique role: Provides essential care in challenging environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $53.00 per hour
