About the Role :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Laboratory to oversee and manage the operations of our laboratory. This leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance laboratory operations, drive quality improvements, and ensure the best possible outcomes for our team and patients.
As the Director of the Laboratory, you will lead a dedicated team, maintain regulatory compliance, and implement innovative practices in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the laboratory team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to high-quality standards.
Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations (ASCP, CLIA, CAP).
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture while mentoring and supporting laboratory personnel.
Oversee lab budgeting, resource allocation, and financial reporting.
Act as the primary liaison between laboratory staff, clinicians, and other departments.
Ensure laboratory safety protocols are adhered to and maintain a safe working environment.
Stay up to date with advancements in medical technology and implement new technologies to improve lab performance.
Monitor lab performance metrics, conduct audits, and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate test results.
Must-Haves :
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or Physical Sciences.
MT (ASCP) required
Minimum of three years managerial experience in the clinical laboratory of an acute care hospital (in non-waived testing).
Prefer experience with regulatory and accreditation of laboratory operations.
