ob Title : Radiation Therapist

Location : Yuma, AZ 85364

Type : Direct Hire

Shift : 8 Hour Day Shifts (Full Time | 80 hours per two weeks)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Assist patients on and off the treatment table.
  • Primarily serve as a support role for starting and stopping the radiation beam / treatment.
  • Operate and monitor the Varian radiation therapy equipment in collaboration with the Radiation Physician.
  • Utilize EPIC (EMR) and Aria software to document patient information and operate the treatment machine.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process.
  • Collaborate closely with Radiation Physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy.
  • Licensing : Must have a valid state licensure as a Radiation Therapist in Arizona.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC) and PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System), with experience using Aria software being preferred.
  • Ability to operate Varian radiation therapy equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Department-Specific Equipment : Varian radiation therapy system.
  • Radiation Therapist Lead : The lead therapist will be present on each shift.
  • Radiologist in-house : Yes, a Radiation Physician is available on-site.
  • IV Administration : No, starting IVs is not required.
  • Weekend Requirements : Very infrequent.
  • Holiday Requirements : None.
  • Call / Standby Requirements : No.
  • Scrub Color : Black.
