ETL Analyst

Junior ETL Developer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior ETL Developer to manage and process critical data (PII, employment, income). This role involves handling data via SFTP (CSV/XLSX) and APIs while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Processing

• Extract, validate, and load data from APIs, databases, and flat files (CSV, XML, JSON).
• Monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Implement data transformation rules to clean, format, and standardize data.
• Develop scripts/workflows for aggregation, de-duplication, and enrichment.

Client Onboarding & Data Management

• Create and maintain file mappings for new client integrations.
• Review, validate, and process historical data.
• Generate onboarding reports and communicate findings internally.

Data Dispute Resolution

• Investigate and resolve data disputes raised by verifiers.
• Cross-check data with sources and determine appropriate resolution paths.
• Redirect disputes to support teams or clients as needed.

Partnership Data Assessment

• Review incoming data from potential partners via APIs and assess compatibility.
• Provide detailed reports and recommendations.

Process Optimization

• Identify and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate process enhancements.

Communication & Collaboration

• Work closely with clients, support teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Document processes and maintain transparency.
• Generate reports from MySQL with support from Data Engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with data formats (CSV, JSON) and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in MySQL for validation and reporting.
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Java, or Shell).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Interest in growing within the software engineering domain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of APIs and system integration.
• Experience with payroll data or data operations.
