Job Description:
Revenue/Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Revenue/Senior Accountant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in offshore revenue management, with preference given to candidates with ONRR (Office of Natural Resources Revenue) experience. This role involves managing various revenue-related functions and providing critical support to our financial operations.
This position requires someone who is highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:Offshore Revenue Management:
- Handle revenue processes.
- Provide supporting documents for revenue-related matters.
Revenue-Related Duties:
- Manage gas balancing and production reconciliation.
- Prepare ONRR wire requests and review ONRR reports.
- Review invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Closing and Financial Reporting:
- Provide support during the month-end closing process.
- Take responsibility for pre-tax closing activities.
- Process Joint Interest Billing (JIB), including NRI/WI variance analysis and collaboration with the land team.
Wire/Check Payment Backup:
- Serve as backup for wire/check payment processing.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support revenue and JIB processing functions.
- Perform variance analysis and address discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in offshore revenue accounting, preferably with ONRR processes.
- Proficiency in gas balancing, production reconciliation, and revenue reporting.
- Familiarity with invoice review and month-end closing procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills, particularly with NRI/WI variance analysis.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of oil and gas revenue accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with BOLO Accounting software.
- Familiarity with EnergyLink.
